TERMS OF SERVICE - YUNO

1) DEFINITIONS

• "Content" means any text, images, audio, video, or other materials.
• "UGC" means Content submitted, posted, published, or otherwise provided by users (including stories, scenes, character definitions, covers, tags, comments, and profiles).
• "AI Content" means Content generated by the Service using automated systems (including narration, character dialogue, suggestions, summaries, or other outputs).
• "You" means the user of the Service.

2) ELIGIBILITY AND AGE REQUIREMENTS

2.1 Minimum age.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction).

2.2 If you are under 18.

If you are 13-17, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service, and that you will not access or create adult or sexually explicit content.

2.3 Age gating and restrictions.

We may request age confirmation and may restrict access to certain content or features based on age signals. We do not guarantee that all mature content will be blocked.

2.4 Children under 13.

The Service is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that someone under 13 is using the Service, we may terminate the account and remove or restrict related data.

3) ACCOUNTS AND SECURITY

3.1 Account creation.

You may need an account to use some features. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated.

3.2 Security.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.

3.3 Unauthorized use.

Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4) THE SERVICE

Yuno is an interactive fiction platform that may include:

• browsing and discovery feeds
• UGC publishing tools (stories, characters, covers, tags)
• community features (profiles, likes, follows, comments)
• AI-assisted features (narration, character dialogue, suggestions, scene continuity tools)

We may add, change, or remove features at any time. The Service may be unavailable, interrupted, suspended, or discontinued at any time, for any reason, with or without notice.

5) COMMUNITY RULES AND PROHIBITED CONTENT

You agree not to use the Service to create, post, share, or generate Content that:

• a) is illegal, facilitates illegal activity, or violates applicable law
• b) depicts, encourages, promotes, or sexualizes minors or appears to involve minors (strictly prohibited)
• c) includes non-consensual sexual content, sexual violence, or exploitation
• d) contains credible threats, instructions for violence, or targeted harassment
• e) is hateful or discriminatory based on protected characteristics
• f) infringes another party's rights, including copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other intellectual property rights
• g) includes personal data of others without permission (doxxing), including addresses, phone numbers, or identifying documents
• h) contains malware, phishing, or attempts to access accounts or systems without authorization
• i) is spam, deceptive, or manipulative (including artificial engagement or fraudulent promotion)
• j) attempts to bypass filters, rate limits, paywalls, or security measures

We may remove Content or restrict accounts at our discretion, including for Content that is harmful, unsafe, or inconsistent with the intended use of the Service, even if not explicitly listed above.

6) MODERATION, ENFORCEMENT, AND REPORTS

6.1 Moderation.

We may use automated systems and human review to detect violations and enforce these Terms.

6.2 Reports.

Users may report Content or accounts. We may review reports and take action (removal, visibility limits, warnings, suspension, termination).

6.3 No guarantee.

We do not guarantee that all Content will be reviewed or removed, or that moderation will be immediate.

7) USER CONTENT (UGC): OWNERSHIP AND LICENSE

7.1 Your ownership.

As between you and Codivo, you retain ownership of the UGC you create, subject to the license you grant below.

7.2 License you grant to us.

By submitting UGC to the Service, you grant Codivo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting and presentation), create derivative works (for technical and display purposes), publish, publicly perform, publicly display, distribute, and otherwise use your UGC to operate, improve, promote, and provide the Service.

This includes the right to display your Public Content to other users and to use excerpts, covers, and titles of Public Content to promote the Service (for example, in-app promotions, app store screenshots, social media, and ads), unless prohibited by law.

7.3 Private vs Public.

If you keep Content private (e.g., drafts), we will use it only as necessary to provide the Service, enforce rules, maintain safety, and perform technical processing such as storage, backups, and display.

7.4 Your responsibility.

You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to submit UGC and grant the license above, and that your UGC complies with these Terms.

7.5 Removal.

You may delete your UGC where the Service allows. Deletion may not remove copies cached, backed up, or re-shared by other users (e.g., screenshots). We may retain certain records for safety, security, and legal compliance.

8) AI FEATURES AND AI CONTENT

8.1 AI Content is generated.

AI Content may be inaccurate, incomplete, repetitive, offensive, or inappropriate. AI Content is provided "AS IS".

8.2 Your inputs.

You are responsible for the prompts, text, and choices you submit and for how you use AI outputs.

8.3 Similarity.

You acknowledge that AI outputs may be similar to content generated for other users.

8.4 No confidential info.

Do not submit sensitive personal information to AI features (e.g., government ID numbers, banking info, exact address).

8.5 Entertainment only.

The Service is for entertainment. AI Content is not professional advice (medical, legal, financial, or otherwise).

9) COPYRIGHT AND DMCA (U.S.)

We respect intellectual property rights and expect users to do the same.

If you believe Content on the Service infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA notice to:

A DMCA notice should include: (1) a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent, (2) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed, (3) identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to locate it (such as a link), (4) your contact information (address, telephone number, and email), (5) a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, and (6) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

If you believe material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. A counter-notice should include: (1) your signature, (2) identification of the removed material and where it appeared before removal, (3) a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the removal was a mistake or misidentification, and (4) your name, address, telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or, if outside the U.S., in Delaware) and will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice.

We may terminate accounts of repeat infringers.

10) ACCEPTABLE USE AND RESTRICTIONS

You agree not to:

• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code (except where allowed by law)
• bypass security, access controls, or usage limits
• scrape, crawl, or harvest Content or user data at scale without permission
• use the Service to build a competing product or train models using the Service or Content, except where permitted by law or by written agreement with Codivo
• interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by introducing malicious code

11) PAID FEATURES, SUBSCRIPTIONS, AND PURCHASES

11.1 Apple billing.

If you subscribe or purchase through the Apple App Store, Apple processes payment. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in accordance with Apple policies.

11.2 Managing subscriptions.

You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings in the App Store.

11.3 Refunds.

Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's policies.

11.4 Changes.

We may change prices, plans, or included features, subject to applicable law and app store rules.

12) THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS

The Service may link to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.

13) FEEDBACK

If you provide suggestions or feedback, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use it without compensation or attribution.

14) TERMINATION

14.1 By you.

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request deletion of your account as described in our Privacy Policy.

14.2 By us.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you violated these Terms, pose a risk, or for operational, safety, or legal reasons.

14.3 Effect.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Codivo and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of or related to:

• your use of the Service
• your UGC or conduct
• your violation of these Terms
• your violation of any rights of another party

18) GOVERNING LAW AND VENUE

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules.

Except where prohibited by law, any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

19) APPLE-SPECIFIC TERMS (iOS)

• These Terms are between you and Codivo, not Apple.
• Apple is not responsible for the Service or its Content and has no obligation to provide support.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation except to refund the purchase price (if any) for the app if required.
• Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

20) CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the Service. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.

21) SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect to the maximum extent permitted by law.

22) ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms you agree to when using specific features, constitute the entire agreement between you and Codivo regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

23) ASSIGNMENT

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, without restriction, including to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.

24) WAIVER

No waiver of any term of these Terms will be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
