This Privacy Policy explains how Codivo ("Codivo", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Yuno mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").
Yuno is an interactive fiction platform that includes user generated content ("UGC"), creator profiles, social features, and AI-assisted features (including narration, character dialogue, and suggestions). This Policy applies to information processed by the Service.
If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use the Service.
2) ELIGIBILITY AND AGE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum age: You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction).
If you are under 18: If you are 13-17, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service, and that you will not access or create adult or sexually explicit content.
Age gating and restrictions: We may request age confirmation and may restrict access to certain content or features based on age signals. We do not guarantee that all mature content will be blocked.
Children under 13: The Service is not intended for children under 13. See Section 14 (Children's Privacy) for more information.
3) KEY TERMS
- "Personal Data" means information that identifies or relates to an identifiable individual.
- "UGC" means user generated content, including stories, scenes, characters, covers, tags, comments, and profiles.
- "Public Content" means content you publish or otherwise make visible to others.
- "Private Content" means content you do not publish, such as drafts and private interactions not posted publicly.
- "Processing" means collecting, using, storing, sharing, or deleting information.
4) INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information in three ways: (A) information you provide, (B) information collected automatically, and (C) information from third parties.
4.1 Information you provide
A) Account and profile information
- Username, display name, profile photo/avatar, bio
- Email address (if you choose to sign up or add an email)
- Age or age confirmation (for age gating and compliance)
B) Content and community activity (UGC)
- Stories, chapters, scenes, character definitions, prompts, tags, cover images, and other content you create or upload
- Comments, likes, follows, bookmarks, and other interactions
- Reports you submit about content or users, and your messages related to those reports
C) Communications
- Messages you send to support
- Feedback, surveys, and bug reports
4.2 Information collected automatically
A) Device and technical data
- Device type, operating system, app version, language
- App instance identifiers and device identifiers used for fraud prevention and analytics
- IP address and approximate location derived from IP (country/region level)
- Crash logs, diagnostic data, and performance data
B) Usage data
- Screens viewed, features used, session timestamps and duration
- Searches performed and tags browsed/followed
- Interaction events (for example, taps, swipes, and navigation)
4.3 Information from third parties
A) App stores and payments
Subscription status and purchase/renewal information from Apple App Store (including receipt or transaction metadata). We do not receive your full payment card details.
B) Service providers
Providers that support analytics, crash reporting, content delivery, security, and AI processing may supply technical signals or aggregated reporting.
4.4 Sensitive personal data
We do not intentionally collect or require sensitive personal data (such as government-issued identification numbers, financial account information, precise geolocation, health data, or biometric data). If you voluntarily include such information in your UGC, prompts, or other content, you do so at your own risk. We may remove such information to protect your privacy and comply with our policies.
5) HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use information for the following purposes:
5.1 Provide and operate the Service
- Create and manage accounts and profiles
- Provide interactive fiction features, community features, and discovery feeds
- Process subscriptions and provide paid features
- Respond to support requests
5.2 Personalization and discovery
- Recommend stories, tags, characters, and creators
- Rank content and display trending sections
- Personalize your feed based on your interactions
5.3 AI-assisted features
Yuno uses AI to generate outputs such as narration, character dialogue, suggestions, summaries, and other content based on your inputs (for example, prompts, story context, and your choices).
When you use AI features, we may process:
- The text you submit (prompts, story context, choices, and related inputs)
- Context necessary to produce coherent outputs (for example, recent scene history)
- The AI output generated for you
- Safety and abuse signals (for example, spam or policy-violation indicators)
Important:
- Do not include sensitive personal information in prompts (for example, government IDs, banking information, exact address).
- AI outputs are generated and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate.
5.4 Safety, integrity, and compliance
- Enforce our Terms and community rules
- Prevent spam, fraud, and abuse
- Investigate reports and suspected violations
- Maintain security and comply with legal obligations
5.5 Improve and develop the Service
- Debug, test, and improve features and recommendations
- Monitor performance and fix reliability issues
- Improve safety systems (for example, spam detection and abuse prevention)
5.6 Communications
- Send service-related messages (for example, account, security, or product notices)
- Send marketing messages where permitted (you can opt out of marketing emails)
6) PUBLIC VS PRIVATE CONTENT (UGC)
6.1 Public Content
If you publish content or interact publicly, it may be visible to other users, including:
- Your public profile (username, display name, avatar, bio)
- Stories, scenes, tags, covers, and character cards you publish
- Public comments and creator interactions
Public Content may be shared by others (for example, screenshots or re-posting). We cannot fully control what others do with content you make public.
6.2 Private Content
The following is private by default unless you choose to publish it:
- Draft stories and unpublished content
- Private interactions and scene content that you do not publish as Public Content
- Private bookmarks and library items (unless you make them public)
6.3 Your controls
You control what you publish. You can edit or delete content from within the Service, subject to Section 10 (Retention) and Section 7 (Moderation and enforcement).
7) CONTENT MODERATION, REPORTS, AND SAFETY REVIEW
Because Yuno includes UGC, we use a combination of automated systems and human review to:
- Review reported content
- Detect spam, abuse, and policy violations
- Remove or restrict content and accounts that violate rules
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
When you report content, we process:
- The content you report and the reason you select
- Supporting context needed to investigate (for example, timestamps and related content identifiers)
8) HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We share information only as described below:
8.1 With other users (because you choose to publish)
Public Content and public profile information are shared with the community.
8.2 With service providers
We share information with service providers that help us operate the Service, such as hosting, storage, content delivery, analytics, crash reporting, support tooling, security/fraud prevention, and AI processing. Service providers may process information only under our instructions and are required to protect it.
8.3 For legal reasons and safety
We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that it is necessary to:
- Comply with law, legal process, or lawful requests
- Protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or Codivo
- Detect, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, and security incidents
8.4 Business transfers
If Codivo is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards. Any successor or acquirer will be required to continue to honor this Privacy Policy or provide you with notice of changes and, where required by law, obtain your consent.
8.5 No sale of personal data for money
We do not sell Personal Data for money.
9) ADVERTISING, ANALYTICS, AND TRACKING
We may use analytics and measurement to understand how the Service is used and to improve performance.
iOS and Apple tracking technologies
If you use the Service on iOS:
- App Tracking Transparency (ATT): We will request your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before accessing your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) for tracking purposes. You can grant or deny this permission, and you can change your choice at any time in your iOS Settings.
- IDFA: We do not access or use your IDFA unless you grant permission via the ATT prompt. If you deny permission, we will not track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.
- SKAdNetwork: We may use Apple's SKAdNetwork framework for privacy-preserving advertising attribution. SKAdNetwork does not identify you personally.
- Aggregated measurement: Even if you opt out of tracking, we may still measure app usage and performance using aggregated and non-identifying analytics.
You can control ad tracking and app permissions through your iOS device settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking).
10) DATA RETENTION
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and protect the Service.
Retention periods (typical):
- Account and profile data: retained while your account is active. After deletion, we generally remove or de-identify account data within 30 days, except where retention is required for safety, security, or legal obligations.
- Private drafts: retained until you delete them or delete your account. Backups may retain deleted data for up to 35 days.
- Public Content (published UGC): retained until you delete it or delete your account, subject to (A) legal obligations, (B) safety/enforcement records, and (C) limitations in Section 6.1 (others may have copied it).
- Usage analytics events: retained up to 24 months in aggregated or pseudonymous form.
- Security logs and fraud prevention records: retained up to 12 months.
- Crash logs and diagnostics: retained up to 180 days.
- Moderation and enforcement records (including reports and outcomes): retained up to 24 months to prevent repeat abuse and enforce rules.
We may retain information longer if required by law or for legitimate safety and security needs.
11) SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
12) YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
12.1 Account controls
You can typically:
- Edit your profile
- Publish, edit, or delete your content
- Manage visibility of certain content
- Manage subscriptions through the Apple App Store
12.2 Access, correction, deletion, and portability
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access the Personal Data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate Personal Data
- Request deletion of your account and certain data
- Request a copy of your data (portability), where applicable
- Object to or restrict certain processing, where applicable

We may ask you to verify your identity before fulfilling requests.
12.3 Deleting your account
You can request account deletion in-app (if available) or by contacting info@codivo.io. After deletion, your Public Content may be removed, anonymized, or disassociated from your profile, subject to Section 10 and Section 6.1.
12.4 Marketing opt-out
If we send marketing emails, you can opt out using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
12.5 Appeals and complaints
If we deny a privacy rights request or a moderation-related decision, you may appeal by contacting info@codivo.io with the subject line "Privacy Appeal" or "Moderation Appeal."
If you are in the EEA, UK, or certain U.S. states, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority or attorney general regarding our processing of your Personal Data.
13) INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
We may process and store information in countries other than where you live, including the United States. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers of Personal Data.
For transfers from the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom (UK), we rely on:
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, and
- The UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or UK Addendum to the EU SCCs, where applicable.

14) CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Yuno is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided Personal Data, contact info@codivo.io and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
If you are in a jurisdiction with higher age requirements, we may apply additional age gating or restrictions.
15) EEA/UK (GDPR) NOTICE
If you are in the EEA/UK, we process Personal Data under the following legal bases (as applicable):
- Contract: to provide the Service you request
- Legitimate interests: to secure and improve the Service, prevent abuse, and personalize discovery
- Consent: where required for certain processing (for example, certain marketing)
- Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws
You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
16) U.S. STATE PRIVACY NOTICE (INCLUDING CALIFORNIA)
Depending on your state, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, or opt out of certain processing.
Categories of Personal Data we may collect:
- Identifiers (such as email, username, device/app identifiers)
- User content (UGC, drafts, comments, reports)
- Internet or app activity (usage events, logs, diagnostics)
- Commercial information (subscription status, transaction metadata)
- Approximate location (country/region derived from IP)
Purposes of use are described in Section 5.
We do not sell Personal Data for money.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
18) CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the Service.
